Guerra de Agua
Acrylics on canvas UV3 Silk Varnish, 120x100 cm. A composition of four toy water guns—objects tied to one of the simplest and most joyful games of childhood. Just fill them up, aim, and play. But suddenly: no water. The game ends before it begins.
What once felt infinite reveals its limits.
This piece reflects a world where water, our most essential resource, is no longer equally accessible. It is extracted, bottled, and controlled—while in many places, families walk for miles in search of something as basic as drinkable water. Meanwhile, plastic waste accumulates, and the cycles of floods and droughts grow more extreme each year.
The innocence of play collides with the reality of scarcity.
What was once a game becomes a warning.
Are you ready for the next water war?
