Guerra de Agua
Acrylics on canvas UV3 Silk Varnish, 120x100 cm. A composition of four toy water guns inside a disposable tinfoil tray.
This painting brings out one of the simplest and most joyful summer games of our childhood. Just fill them up, aim, and play. But suddenly: no water. The game ends before it begins.
What once felt infinite reveals its limits.
This colorful almost chaotic piece reflects a world where water, our most essential resource, is no longer equally accessible. It is extracted, bottled, and controlled—while in many places, families walk for miles in search of something as basic as drinkable water. Meanwhile, plastic waste accumulates, and the cycles of floods and droughts grow more extreme each year.
The innocence of play collides with the reality of scarcity.
What was once a game becomes a warning.
Are you ready for the next „Guerra de Agua“ Water War?
