As a kid I used to draw cars on my notebooks with wider tyres, fog lights and vibrant colors. I studied graphic design, as I discovered that expressing my visual creativity was something worth of doing as a living. I worked as a profesional designer for over 25 years in my native Colombia and moved to Germany ten years ago, since then I have been painting full time.
In my automotive paintings I explore colors, shapes and reflections, my main themes are street and race cars. I see them as highly aesthetic objects.
I also paint daily objects like toys or treats in vibrant photorealistic compositions. My works are visually striking ironies of the contemporary obsession with consumption and idolatry of pop culture.
